Assignar, a cloud-based construction operations platform, aims to improve contractors’ productivity and profitability

Assignar, a cloud-based operations platform that aims to upgrade the productivity and profitability of heavy civil construction and infrastructure contractors, announced its integration with partner Acumatica Construction Edition, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.

The Assignar software slows for more efficient and accurate workflows between the office and the field to improve support expedited payment.

“Acumatica Construction Edition and Assignar complement each other perfectly,” said Mike Gillum, product specialist with Acumatica.

Gillum said the field operations side of Assignar, including features such as equipment management and resource scheduling, feeds seamless data to Acumatica and vice versa, which eliminates redundancy between operations and the financial back office.

“This integration and partnership with Assignar highlights the true capabilities of cloud construction software,” Gillum said.

According to a release from both companies, construction productivity and profitability have been bogged down by increasing regulations and the skilled labor shortage, among other factors, which has forced contractors to spend more time on non-optimal activities such as paperwork and data entry.

The companies said their integration lets contractors to refocus their attention back to their businesses.

ERP data such as worker and equipment definitions, cost codes and work orders flow directly into Assignar’s planning, optimization and tracking solution, according to the release, and timesheet and completed work data can be fed back into Acumatica for payroll and invoicing.

With the consistent, steady flow of this data, contractors can explore a more holistic view of their business’s financials and operations, the release said.

“We aim to simplify our customers’ operations while helping them to become more competitive, and this partnership is a key part of that,” said Marcel Broekmaat, CPO at Assignar.

Acumatica and Assignar said they plan to explore further integration points. For more information or to learn more about this integration, the companies are offering free demonstrations.
