Toro’s newest addition to the Material Buggy line, the Swivel Mud Buggy, has a redesigned tub that allows the machine to swivel 180 degrees.
The debuting model, which can carry up to 2,500 lbs. (or 16 cubic feet) of material, has upgraded mobility that allows users to dump materials anywhere in a half circle
With the same frame as Toro’s MB TX 2500 Tracked Mud Buggy, the new machine adds a thicker 3/8-inch polyethylene tub material that can haul sand, rock, mulch and cement, the company said.
Another novel feature is the swivel switch that travels with the right-hand control handle so that operators can safely control the equipment while simultaneously swiveling the tub.
The 1,575-lb. Swivel Mud Buggy comes with a 25-hp KOHLER Confidant engine and can reach transport speeds of up to 6 mph (going forward) and 3 mph (in reverse). Its tracks, reinforced with Endless Kevlar, can handle many types of terrain – including hillsides, culverts and ditches – and various conditions such as mud, gravel or snow, according to Toro.
“Our Swivel Mud Buggy was engineered to deliver exceptional precision, user-friendly controls, and ultimately, an innovative and highly efficient working experience,” said Kaitlyn Ingli, marketing manager at Toro.
Last year, the Minnesota-based Toro acquired Venture Products Inc. for $167.5 million.
