Yanmar Compact Equipment introduces a line of compact wheel loaders designed for maximum efficiency and ease of operation.

Compact wheel loaders are multi-function machines capable of many earthmoving and tool carrying applications due to their ability to use a wide variety of attachments. In addition, their small frame makes transport and operating in tight workspaces easy.

Yanmar’s new lineup includes the models V4-7, V8, V10 and V12, combining power, comfort and compactness for applications that require fast travel speeds, high lift capacity and a small turning radius.

“Our loaders fill a critical niche for landscaping, ag, construction, snow removal and rock quarries,” said Jeff Pate, director of sales for Yanmar Compact Equipment North America. “For contractors, having reliable, high-performing machines in this size class is a crucial component to being successful.”

Models range in operating weight from 8,422 lbs. to 15,432 lbs and feature bucket capacities from 0.65 cubic yards to 2.35 cubic yards and lift capacities of 7,451 pound-force to 15,962 pound-force. Travel speeds run from 11.8 to 22 mph.

Yanmar says every model comes with a spacious cab and dual doors for easy entry from each side as well as high visibility, a suspension seat and full climate control.

The V8, V10 and V12 come standard with enclosed cabs designed to reduce operator fatigue. Cabs are rubber-mounted for a smoother ride and feature a comfortable seat with lumbar support, cushioning and an extra high backrest. The V4-7 is available in both open- and closed-cab configurations.

The V4-7, V8 and V10 are powered by electronically controlled, Tier 4 Final Yanmar diesel engines designed for minimized fuel consumption. The V12 features a Deutz diesel engine that is also Tier 4 Final compliant.

Operational efficiency is further enhanced by parallel kinematics on the V8, V10 and V12, which allow operators to lift loads with precision, without the need for constant readjustment of the load angle.
