Since December 31, 2022, CNH Industrial, parent company of Case, ceased all sales of construction equipment in China.
In the course of 2021, sales of construction equipment in China totalled approximately $88 million for Case. China is the world’s largest market for construction equipment sales.
CNH Industrial said it does not expect to incur significant charges in connection with the change, and the decision was part of its, “ongoing turnaround plan for its global Construction business.”
Despite the decision CNH said it remained “fully committed to its customers and dealers in China” and that it would “continue to support the existing fleet of Case Construction machines.”
CNH Industrial produces other equipment, such as for the agriculture sector. This decision will not affect any areas outside of construction.
In the latest Yellow Table, International Construction’s ranking of the world’s largest OEMs according to sales, CNH Industrial were ranked number 21 with sales of $3.08 billion.
