EquipmentShare debuts operating system to improve productivity for construction

EquipmentShare has introduced T3, a new operating system that helps contractors rent equipment more efficiently

T3, billed as the “Operating System for Construction” by technology company EquipmentShare, is a new suite of mobile and web applications that helps contractors and construction professionals digitize their equipment rental operations for enhanced productivity and efficiency.

According to EquipmentShare, the new T3 software solves many of the issues with more analog processes in construction and allows users to track and manage their assets with transparency.

The operating system replaces multiple software systems and paper-and-pen workflows to allow customers to manage their assets, people and materials with one solution.

“T3 was built upon the foundation that was set by the EquipmentShare Track asset management solution, which primarily helped contractors monitor and control their fleet,” EquipmentShare President Willy Schlacks said. “The comprehensive T3 operating system helps contractors manage all aspects of their business by removing bottlenecks and streamlining workflows.

Schlacks said that with T3, the days of waiting 45 days for a credit card statement to understand material expenses or logging into a dozen systems to view mixed fleet information manage staff schedules are in the past.

“T3 gives contractors unparalleled visibility into their operations so they can begin to build with control,” Schlacks said.

Some of the platform’s features include:

  • T3 Time Cards, which allow supervisors to review and approve employee timesheets from anywhere (and at any time), along with the ability to connect work hours to specific projects for accurate job expense reporting
  • T3 Analytics, which lets users build and run reports on various activities at a jobsite, such as machine hours, maintenance intervals and more
  • T3 Work Orders, which enables companies to streamline and simplify their fleet’s service needs into one centralized hub
  • T3 E-Logs app, which replaces pen-and-paper driver logs for improved compliance and safety

According to EquipmentShare, when T3 digitizes everyday construction workflows, tasks and reports, the software helps users save time, reduce resource waste, improve safety and security and increase total productivity and profitability.

“[EquipmentShare offers] a smarter system that helps us better manage our equipment and rentals,” said Patrick Leis, Vice President of Logistics Operations at JE Dunn Construction, an EquipmentShare customer. “T3 provides better visibility on the work started to the work completed, including record keeping and from a risk and safety management perspective. Their technology helps us check off multiple boxes.”
