MTG introduces new ground engaging solutions for earthmoving equipment

A specialist in the design and manufacture of ground engaging tools for mining, construction and dredging machinery, MTG introduced two new systems to the North American market at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas earlier this month.
The first of those systems is COMET, a hammerless solution for small construction machines such as excavators, mini loaders and backhoe loaders between 5 and 15 tons. Thanks to its hammerless locking, COMET offers quick and safe teeth change-outs.
The assembly can be done in two simple steps and the disassembly does not require any special tools, other than a screwdriver. As with all MTG systems, COMET teeth feature a self-sharpening design, offering a high level of penetration for improved machine efficiency. Its reversible design also allows for extended wear life.
The VEEMET system is a versatile system for excavators and loaders between 20 and 250 tons equipped with plate lip buckets. As the successor of the STARMET system, VEEMET has been optimized for increased performance and user-friendliness. Its improved stability due to V-shaped fitting is designed to offer more resistance against

torsional loads.
VEEMET also features optimized locking for quick and easy assembly and disassembly, reinforced pins, and a slim tooth design for enhanced penetration and increased machine efficiency. The wide range of self-sharpening teeth and plate lip adapters’ designs are meant to provide better digging performance for any construction, quarrying and mining application.
The first sizes of VEEMET will be available to order in the coming months.
MTG also displayed its established G.E.T. DETECTION solution which detects G.E.T. detachment in less than three seconds with zero false alarms, according to the company.
