Watch as New York contractor Total Wrecking & Environmental completes the demolition of a giant boiler unit at the Lakeland Electric CD McIntosh Jr Power Plant in Florida.

Measuring 225 feet tall, the fossil fuel-fired boiler was taken down as part of a decommissioning project that has already seen the demolition of three other power plant structures.

Frank Bodami, founder and CEO of Total Wrecking & Environmental, said his team was “excited to restore another critical area within the Lakeland McIntosh Power Plant to make way for newer, cleaner energy facilities.”
